Colorado Mountain College Partnership

We are SO excited to announce our partnership with the wonderful team at Colorado Mountain College! Our first "satellite class" option will be held in Salida at the Colorado Mountain College Campus starting in August. We have found a great instructor for the 2026/2027 school year; the only class offered will be our first-year class. Class will be held one night per week, and the process for getting registered for class and attending class will be almost identical to the operation at our location in Colorado Springs.

On May 27th, our Executive Director, Dale Weis, and our Apprenticeship and Training Chairman, Lee Tankersley, will be traveling to Salida to meet electrical contractors in the area to discuss how IEC can help their apprentices and business thrive. Later in the day, community members are invited to learn more about IEC's electrical apprenticeship program and how students can receive an "earn while you learn" education that will set them up for success in the electrical field.

The presentation geared towards electrical contractors will be held at 3:00pm at Colorado Mountain College (349 E 9th St., Salida, CO 81201).

The presentation geared towards interested students, parents, employees of local high schools, etc., will be held at 5:00pm at the same location.
