New Student Requirements

We are currently accepting registrations for Winter 2024 (beginning in October), in-person on a walk-in basis.  Registration for this start date will close on August 14th.

Our office hours for walk-in registrations are 10a-3p Monday through Thursday, and Friday by appointment only.

Please plan two hours for your visit. You will be asked to complete your Registration Form and a Math Diagnostic Assessment. Enrollment is not final until payment in full for the First Semester has been received. Please contact the school for current tuition rates.

The purpose of the Math Diagnostic Assessment is to verify that you are comfortable with the types of calculations you will need to be successful in First Year. Those who score below a 70% will be required to pass a Math Refresher class (provided by the school).  This class costs $75 and will be held from 5:30pm - 7:30pm on July 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, and 25th.

How to Apply

Employment

IEC Southern Colorado is not a job placement agency.

90% of our apprentices are working full time as Electrical Apprentices. Those seeking employment may send their resumes to swassil@iecscc.org to be added to our Job Board, although employment is not guaranteed.

Feel free to contact any of our Contractor Members in your job search. They will ensure you have discounted tuition as you attend for the next four years, and many will even assist with schooling costs! Be sure to ask about their company policies on schooling during the interview process.

IEC Southern Colorado will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), genetic information, or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years or older.

IEC Southern Colorado will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required under Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 30.
