IEC Southern Colorado's Fast Track Program provides the 288 hours of classroom training required by DORA to qualify an applicant to take the Journeyman examination for licensure.

This program will only be available to apprentices with 6000+ on the job hours, and will take approximately 12 months to complete. Classes will be held online two nights a week (M&TH, 5:30-9:30p), and will cover condensed curriculum to include electrical calculations, theory, grounding and bonding, and codebook navigation.

Senate Bill 20-120, which took effect on September 14, 2020, requires electrical apprentices to take a license examination if they have been registered for at least six years with the State Electrical Board.

Beginning January 1, 2021, qualifying electrical apprentices must take the exam every three years until they pass.

The Fast Track Program Begins Monday, April 19th

Applicants must register online ASAP using the New Student Registration form AND call the school upon completion to specify it is a Fast Track Registration.
